Plans For Extensions website redesign

The website of architectural services company Plans For Extensions is an excellent example of the service I provide.

Previously, the website was rarely updated. It contained a lot of out of date information and wasn’t an accurate representation of the company. Neil, the owner of Plans For Extensions wanted to put regular updates of his work on the website. Photos of projects, scans of architectural drawings and descriptions of what work was involved and final costs.

The problem was that the website was difficult and time consuming to update. But the updates which Neil suggested would add so much more value to the website. Customers would be able to gain ideas of how to improve their property, see examples of his work and ultimately become more interested in using Neil as the architect for their building project.

The solution I decided on was to use Wordpress as a content management system. This would mean that regular updates could be added quickly and easily, as simple as sending an email, with no knowledge of web design required. It allowed us to quickly add image galleries and add-ons which automatically manage search engine optimization. I also set up a number of different tools to measure the success of the website.

The final outcome was a website to be proud of, and one that will continue to grow and provide more value to the business and its customers as time goes on. We can track how many visitors it has, where they are located and the most popular pages viewed.

Here’s the website before and after.
